What does Cocktail Attire Mean for the welcome party?

Gentlemen should wear a suit or light blazer with dress pants. Its dressier than business casual, but less formal than black-tie. Ladies should wear a dress that is knee length or longer, dress jumpsuits or elegant separates. It is ore formal than a sundress and less risqué than something you'd wear to go out. Please avoid whites, creams or anything resembling white.

What is the Wedding Attire?

We kindly ask our guests to follow the black-tie dress code. Gentlemen should wear a tux or black suit and tie. Ladies should wear evening gowns or mid-length dresses. We kindly ask our guests to avoid the colors of black, beige, off white or white.

What language is spoken in Brazil? Will I need to speak Portuguese?

Portuguese is the official language in Brazil. While English isn't an official language, many people in São Paulo—especially in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas—speak at least some English. We’ll provide some helpful phrases and tips on the site!

Is it safe to travel in São Paulo?

São Paulo is the prime business city in Brazil and hosts the majority of American investment and business. However, being a large city, there are safe areas and areas to avoid. Stick to well-traveled neighborhoods, avoid displaying valuables, and use reliable transportation (like Uber or registered taxis). Please see our Travel page for places to stay and explore!

Will the Wedding be Indoors or Outdoors

Our venue is set up for an outdoor wedding but provides options for indoors if there is rain in the forecast. Temperature's in Brazil during the fall are very moderate ranging from mid 60s to high 70s.

How will I get to the Venue?

Paola and Campbell will be providing transportation for all our guests. Please stay in the areas of: Jardins, Jardim Paulista, or Itaim Bibi. A bus will arrive at a location within these areas that will be specified on the detailed schedule and will take guests to and from the wedding venue. For the welcome party, we suggest taking Ubers.

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

The wedding event will start at 2pm with welcome drinks, we suggest arriving around that time to grab a cocktail before the wedding ceremony at 2:30pm.

Should I rent a car?

We do not recommend renting a car. Driving in Brazil is difficult to get accustomed too and there are many motorcyclists that dont follow the laws. We recommend taking an Uber wherever you go. Do not hail cabs or accept rides from any unofficial service, only order Ubers.

Do you have a food allergy

If you have a food allergy, please make Campbell or Paola aware so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Will my phone work in Brazil?

Yes, most mobile providers allow for international texting and calling. If you dont have this plan, the most affordable option is often to purchase a local Brazilian SIM card (Vivo, Claro, or TIM) at the aiport or local store. Additionally, most hotels and Airbnb's offer free Wi-fi.

What are the supported electrical outlets?

Brazil uses power outlets type N, which have two round pins and a third grounding pin. We highly recommend brining a universal travel adapter to charge your devices.
